YOU GIOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME ...

Kerry: 221
Bush: 269

ed: Actually (4:41am) CNN has it as Kerry 242, Bush 254

It's 4;34 in the morning, and here I am again. ONE goddamn state needs to report for Bush and it's over. But, like, six of them are holding out because, you guessed it, TOO CLOSE TO CALL.

This isn't funny, this is theater.

I kept my good faith for this election, then, there you gotta go, executing the most unlikely of possibilities. not only is Ohio the new Florida, but they managed to break it down into a action-series cliff hanger. how am i supposed to take this seriously?

HEY, and byt he way, the pundits are saying that the youth vote didn't show up.

So, what, you fuckin' pricks, you just register to go to see some free hip hop shows than say "Fuck it, I can't give up an hour of my life to deal with one of my civic duties?" Yeah? really? Well fuck you, you deserve the draft.

This better be decided tomorrow ... or at least within two weeks when they account for provisionals and oversease ballots ... if the Supreme Court shows up in this, then I'm going to have to take a trip, and I don't really want to go to Washington.

Oh, and to our honorable troops?

Have fun in Iran this year.

APPARENTLY ...

The "motivated" base that were responsible for the huge voter turn out were the fucking evangelicals.

these people honestly believed that Jesus smiled on George Bush, and they showed up to prove it.

proof that prayer and coddling works.

People ... you can say goodbye to what we know as American Democracy.

And for you Bush supporters ... oh man, are you in for a treat. there is going to be so much Jesus and War-mongering and fetus waving and fag-hating over the next four years, you should all get your money's worth.

I am really disappointed with this country this morning.

you voted for stagnation instead of intellectualism.

really, great job, nicely done.

CNN's current count:

Bush: 254
Kerry: 252

Ridiculous.

There is no good reason Kerry shouldn't have won with a clear mandate.

And that's not the worst of it ... state after state, in almost alll races but consistently in the presidential race, split right down the middle.

You people let down the eagle, and for all of those of you who just didn't bother to show up ... from the most sincere part of me, fuck you.

Actually ... I forgot my previous post. this is obviously theater. there is no room for the voice of the people in corporate America ... We the Corporation, by the Corporation, for the Corporation ... who would have thought that ll those sci-fi movies were actually right?

It's true ... my faith in the system is destroyed. If kerry is finally decided in Ohio I'll feel better, but all of this tension, divisiveness ... it's just proof how the government doesn't take this population seriously. It's proof how a two party system doesn't care about us, as much as they might pretend. It's proof they're more interested in the perception of drama than the rendering of truth. i didn't want to admit it to myself, but the naderites have a point.

I fought so hard to keep my faith, to believe that this election was going to go off without a hitch ... btu i wasn't right.

it was right to be bitter, and skeptical, and callous, and hopeless ... and fearful.

Shameful ... i dont' want to live in the country that wants to live this way.

We hate ourselves, we hate our principles, we love fear, we love glamour, we love deception ... shameful.

I'm disgusted.

And MSNBC says karry gets michigan, making their call K: 238, B: 269

Ohio is officially contested, so we're not going to know about them until after the provisionals and overseas are dealt with.

Stilll ... it doesn't cloud the obvious theater that's going on here.

My, my, my ... what a bunch of suckers.

Post Debacle

The Left is very drained.

Already the talking heads are talking about 2k8, and, you know what? We've got no viable candidates. I hope Bush was serious about his "working together as one America" victory speech. I know he wasn't, he looked like he ate something sour when he recited that portion of his speech.

You know what's sad?

Is that the Left is the side of true humanitarian compassion, but this election was won by the evangelicals who think that just the mention of Jesus makes him closer to God. Proof, to my mind, that they put more value in empty concepts than intellectualism or human action.

And that, my friends, is why our founders, in their wisdom, spoke of a separation of Church and State.

I am so very, very sad.
