headwound

DEMOCRACY IN ACTION (sing it to "She Blinded me With Science")

Well, I am proud to have cast my vote for John F. Kerry. I selected Democrats right down the line just to annoy the Right. That's not true, I selected Dems for the other seats because I am one of the people that re-elected Clinton but foolishly put Republicans in the House and Senate (a point which Clinton picked up on and said about those elections, "It is clear that the American people want us to work together" ... too bad the fucking Republicans didn't get the message).

Let me tell you what I saw when I went to my polling place: one long ass line. I went down there at 10:30, and it's now 11:45. It took me 1:15 to vote. That has never happened before. I have never been subjected to a line at this polling station, and this is my 4th election here ... I think. Yeah, yeah, it is, 'cause Guilliani in '98 (who I voted for, and regret that vote ... motherfucker sold out my city) ... that was it, right? Well, 4th or 3rd, either way there were at least 30 people on line before me, and that's never happened before. And this is a low-traffic hour. The rush hour crowd is gonna be sick.

You know what this means, right?

Bad fucking news for the Commander in Chimp.

Their damage control teams are going to be going into overdrive. They may actually need baseball bats and blackjacks to suppress the vote this time. Something tells me there are going to be some red state surprises.

One can hope.

Let me finally state my position on a Bush re-election: if he is the clear winner by tomorrow, then bully for him. I will go on to complain about his policies, but I will not be crying "foul" like I came to do in 2000.

However ... if this goes back to the Supreme Court and they decide Bush then I am going to Washington.

I don't know what I'm going to do when i get there, but it'll have something to do with sitting on the White House lawn until he excuses himself from office.

If the Supreme Court decide for Kerry then I'll leave it alone because at least they'll give the other side a shot at it, but if it's a Bush re-selection then we really do need to consider the inherent corruption of this system we call "democracy."

And, by the way, Kerry being elected doesn't let anybody off the hook. He's going to have to be held accountable just like Bush isn't and won't be. But just because "my guy" wins is not a free pass for him to start acting all like ... well, Bush, Rove, and Cheney.

The thing is, if it had been Dems who were in positions like where the Republicans find themselves now ... the Republicans would be reaming them for being war mongers and liars.

Remember how upset they got over a few cigars and a cum stain?

I do.

Their party needs an enema.

So get out there today and give it to them.
