*SHAKES HEAD*
Jack Hensley reported beheaded.
We're going to get a new beheading every day this week, I can just feel it.
This is going to be some point to watch Dubya wiggle out from come the debates on Thursday, the 30th.
On the debates, the candidates aren't allowed to address each other -- doesn't that seem contradictory to the meaning of the word "debate?" I seem to remember that's been a standing rule, but add that in with the fact that Dubya wanted to get the number of debates down to two (like last time) is fucking shameful. This guy has absolutely no respect for the office that he holds. Don't the American people deserve to see as much of either side's argument as they can present? One would think, but that's not what Dubya's handlers want. The guy is self-lethal off the script, so they have to keep the leash on him. That's the one thing that the debates will provide us, seeing Dubya off the teleprompter. His "success" last time was due to the low expectations surrounding him. All he had to do was tie a couple of thoughts together in a reasonably coherent manner, and the guy comes out looking like a contender. Gore's arrogance didn't help at all. But things are different now. And you have no record to stand on, Georgie. I don't know how you're going to come out shining when a polarized electorate is looking for the slightest sign of incompetence.
Dubya ... I hope you fuckin' hang yourself. It ain't going to take much for you to lose here. And Johnny? Don't pull a Gore on us. Straight and steady, don't let hubris bite you in the ass. Hubris is Dubya's worst enemy, so let him take it in the face.
