WHOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!
Yeah!! Kick-ass! My story for the Yellow Bat Press was rejected! This is so awesome! Makes one feel like a conquering hero!
But, on a high note, my submission to Horrorfind, one of the most well respected fiction sites on the internet as well as the primary search engine for all things horror, was ... ACCEPTED!!! And that is a coup, no doubt. I'm not sure when it's going up precisely, but it is a genuine honor for this hack artist to be accepted amidst the pantheon of excellent writers who've been published there. There are few sites on the 'net that I would use the word "published" with, and HF is one of them. To boot, there's the possibility that I could make it into their yearly print edition, The Best of Horrorfind. I have absolutely no word on whether or not that could happen, but getting a story up on the site puts you in the running. This is so fuckin' sweet. Yes, I do know the editor personally, but I also know that he wouldn't pander to his friends. If he didn't feel the story was up to snuff, he would have rejected it just like any other editor. And that, in fact, makes this acceptance all the more special.
I've been looking for a snippet form the story, but I can't really find anything that doesn't "give it away" or isn't, out of context, boring. So, fuck it, lol. Anyhow, the tale is called "The Jaws of Adana."
Check it out at Horrorfind.com under the "Fiction" link sometime soon, I know not when.
