OH YEAH, THAT THING WITH THE ASSAULT RIFLE BAN

The very idea that this administration could actually just "allow" the assault rifle ban to lapse should be considered a criminal act. There is no good reason why any common citizen should need to purchase an assault rifle. And don't give me any of that second amendment crap. Your right to bear arms ended as soon as it took less than a minute to reload your muskets. "Responsible gun ownership" is an oxymoron. I think it's great that there are hunters out there that want to bond with their buddies and their sons, and I think it's imperative that you have the right to a firearm to protect your home, but no one, for any good reason, needs an M-16. A weapon like that serves only one purpose, the purpose for which it was designed -- mowing down protesters to the Bush administration's bass ackwards foreign and domestic non-policies.

MORE ACTUAL WRITER NEWS, NIGGER

Submission number two, for a zombie anthology called The Undead, has been confirmed received.

Have a taste:
"What's going on?"

"Come and look!"

"I don't want to."

The cheerleaders flanked the suit. Their fingers dug into the meat of his throat. The suit's arms pin-wheeled around as he was pulled to the ground. The old man fell to his knees, his face in the suit's crotch. He started digging away at the man's abdomen with overgrown fingernails. The blonde wrenched off the suit's ear. The suit was still juicy, blood sprayed the old man in the face as he split open the skin of the suit's belly, then fished around for organ meat like a raccoon fishing through garbage.

"Oh, God, that's disgusting."
Operation: Become Prolific is well under way ... excellent.

That snippet there is not as bad as it gets. Got to thank couscous1021 for kickin' my butt on having taken a "more art, less zombie" approach on the first draft. The revision is truly fucked-up ... in a zombilicious way.

Now, let me make something clear. These are not acceptances. However, an acknowledgement of receipt is a good first step. Whether or not they actually use these tales is still up for debate, but, as is the process, all you can do is wait it out. But, if I get a bunch of shit out there now, then there may be a few things actually floating around by the time the WHC comes around to NYC in April.
