WELL ...
I don't know that Johnny boy did what he needed to do. I think that one looked better on paper, but I think he just gave the press an excuse to bitch about his pouncing on Dubya's thunder, and if that's the best that comes out of his stump speech then he should have just stayed on the bus, watched the speech, and gone the hell to bed all revved up for tomorrow.
