Oh MAN ... Jesus ... will you please do me a favor? Talk to your dad and get him to smite all of those that would claim to support your cause? You weren't for blind faith, you were for asking questions, turning over the status quo, and busting the ass of the money lenders. And I'll tell you what, NONE of the Democratic star power would come out saying "I'm making my vote based on who I think has the most faith." And this is from STEPHEN Baldwin, the one whose career might rival that of Gary Busey's.
Elizabeth Dole: "We believe in the treasured life of faith. Two-thousand years ago a man said, 'I've come to give life, and give it in full.' In America, I have the freedom to call that man Lord, and I do. In the United States of America we are free to worship without discrimination, without intervention, and even without activist judges trying to strip the name of God from the Pledge of Allegiance, from the money in our pockets, and from the walls of our courthouses. The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. The right to worship God isn't something Repulicans invented, but it is something Republicans will defend."
Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees the blatant and copious contradictions in this portion of Mrs. Dole's message.
I have news for you, Mrs. Dole ... this "man" you call Lord is not the same God that Mohammed or Ling-Chu or whoever it is that does your fuckin' laundry believes in.
Dahmneet, Ahnold, you ah too naieve to undustahnd gubermental corruption.
Please stop using what's his name's "You might be a redneck" schtick in order to tell the delegates what makes a person a Republican.
And, by the way, if it weren't for liberal lawmakers you wouldn't have the career that you have here in America or in Kaleefoneea because our borders would be closed to you.
You are a Republican for one reason, Ahnold, you are a Republican because you want to hold your paychecks as close as you can to your barrel chest. You are part of that top 1% that Bush protects and finger fucks with his tax breaks. You are not a symbol of the American Dream, you are the poster boy for American corruption and avarice. Shame on you for trying to make yourself out to be a "regular guy."
The Bush girls .... ladies, you've got to go. You're not "cute," and this isn't the MTV awards. You should have watched the Kerry girls. And if your parents taught you the meaning of honesty and integrity than I'm a monkey's uncle ... more like frigidity and how to drink.
Ugh ... then dad shows up on the live feed. re: his wife, "She's a friend of authors." If that's true then there wouldn't be so many of their constituents who're willing to burn books.
Whoa ... the bitch got a heartbeat. Am currently waiting the "thank yous" to end. oops, honey, you forgot Jesus. Guess you'll be signing off with the good ol' "God bless America."
More about George's "strength and conviction" which I only hear as "stubborness and lack of vision."
Oh, Lady ... you got some nerve -- George Washington would have beat your husband to death for his reinterpretations of The Constitution.
Her mouth sounds like it's filling with spit.
And there she goes with her oh so wise views on stem-cells. The old man allowed research to go forward while still respecting human life ... hmmm, just like all those human lives Ashcroft respected in Abu Gharib and that her husband respects so much to send our boys to an unwinnable -- no winnable, no unwinnable, no winnable -- war. These people may have respect for human life, but they don't have any regard whatsoever for rational thought.
I am really over this "war is peace" bullshit. Have any of these people actually read 1984? Did they get that it was a warning against fascism, and not a great plan for the future? How can you say "security and freedom" in the same sentence and keep a straight face? Do I want a secure nation? Sure, who doesn't, but I want it secure because the world is relaxed, not because all of our enemies are on edge about how we might react to whatever moves we miught decide are hostile. And, of course, now that we've broken the seal on "pre-emptive war" it certrainly wouldn't take much to get us going.
I don't know that the mousy, Christian housewife is the right one to be talking about women's rights in Afghanistan or Iraq. Theresa is much more credible on that point. You know ... I don't know that much about Laura Bush, but I'm not liking what I see. She reminds me of teachers that I had that just sort of gave me the creeps for no really good reason. And I have to wonder about the man who would be attracted to such a sterile personality ... yuck, and they were married just 3 months after they met? Yeah ... creepy.
