Maybe it's just wherever my head is right now, but within a 24 hour period I've seen 2 of the best movies ever made.
Secretary and Punch-Drunk Love. It's so great to see a love story that isn't some smarmy, pandering piece of shit that's just trying to manipulate the viewer. These are honest stories that manage to also be cute and truly endearing for their stark portrayal of people, rather than some contrived, formulaic series of devices that is supposed to make you fall in love with "these people" while they fall in love with each other. Yuck.
