Well, if waiting for three years for other people to live up to their commitments or burying my nose in the betterment of craft for fifteen years, and having a positive attitude about rejection is being impatient, then color me guilty.
I don't really care what you think, M, and if I have to do a fucking runaround to get my work out there because print is dying, I'm getting older and don't have the time to wait around to find out if you think I'm good enough, and the future is no longer approaching, it is here, then I'm going to fucking do it. We creative folk need to define a new paradigm. Never mind that print-on-demand is eco-friendly. At least MY unsold books aren't clogging up landfills with their shitty grammar and adverbial abuse -- so there.
Whatever. Douche. I haven't read from your catalog, but I should. Ever get published on a web page? Remember there was a day that didn't count? My first three publications were on paper, just like a big dog. That was eleven years ago. Don't fucking talk to me about patience.
I did lose faith, I'll give you that, but patience is a discipline, not a virtue.
When I get my computer up and running again, I will design a cover for my short story collection -- if I don't still have that mock-up from like five years ago. I will post it to LULU, I will go the extra mile ro make it available through AMAZON, and it will be there for you.
The work will speak for itself.
That's the game plan.
And then you shall speak for the work.
