Since ...

I'm on the point of the chap, the final table of contents will be "The Jaws of Adana," and "Lily," which is a new one that is a bit of a history lesson regarding some characters from one of my novels. We decided to kill one to keep costs down a bit. I'm not sure what width and length are going to be, prolly about the size of a paperback, and, with those two tales, it should be about twenty, blood-soaked pages. Neither of these tales are for the weak, and I unsettled my own self working on both of them. Usually I just get a sense of, "Okay, that one's finished," but both of these left me a bit like, "Whoa." "Adana" especially, but "Lily" also, in its way. So, this little project isn't going to be at all cute or fun. It's two really heavy stories, both of which I can say I'm proud of, which doesn't happen very often.

I hope they leave you with something to think about.

Screening's nice, you can just make the voices disappear.

  • WELL, NOW YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN, OLLIE!

Life should be about taking risks. One can't be irresponsible about that. You can't, for instance, just walk up to your boss and tell him to go fuck…
