Dear Internet:

I'm still going to post nonsense and news when I have it, but I'm done.

Someone needs to talk to me, e-mail me.

I ain't hard to find.

Tomb Raider: Legend ... I haven't made up my mind yet. The controls may be a little too loose, but it's definitely leaps and bounds greater than Angel of Darkness. The fighting is fun, however, for the first time in a TR title. This is more quickly paced than earlier games, and I think Lara's walk cycle is just a notch too fast. I am a purist, though. If you've never played a TR game before, this may not be a bad place to start. There's depth in the combat system for those who want it, although I'm still not sure if the spellunking is all it should be. There is a "box puzzle" on the first level, but her grabbing/dragging dynamic is really good. My fear is that this game is going to play more like Prince of Persia than a TR title. Plenty left to see, but this should be a series that innovates when they come back strong like this. I'm only one level into it, though, we'll see where it winds up.

Screening's nice, you can just make the voices disappear.

  • WELL, NOW YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN, OLLIE!

Life should be about taking risks. One can't be irresponsible about that. You can't, for instance, just walk up to your boss and tell him to go fuck…
